ORU was born after the study of the luxury brand Montblanc. The aim was to create an hypotetic innovative product for the brand: ORU fills the gaps towards newer generations by integrating a young and versatile design. Directly inspired by the designer Issey Miyake, ORU is a multifunctional bag that respects Montblanc’s values and aesthetic, thought for fullfilling the need of younger generations to be always flexible and disruptive.
Leather becomes flexible and fluid thanks to an internal layer of thermosetting material. Thanks to the foldable structure the bag can be changed in 3 different shapes: a small backpack (2L capacity), a medium-size shoulder bag (12L), and the big shopper (22L). The folds can be fixed with an internal system of buttons. |
